Thank you for helping us keep West Valley Dahlias a safe, beautiful, and welcoming place for all.
We believe in protecting the environment and minimizing our impact on the planet. Our 'mother' farm, Headwater Hills, is a sustainable silvopasture ecosystem concentrating on harmoniously combining plants and animals for a healthy, happy, natural environment that is beneficial to all.... Dahlias included!
At West Valley Dahlias, we believe that exceptional customer service is just as important as beautiful flowers. That's why we go above and beyond to make sure that every customer is satisfied with their order. We understand that every occasion is unique, whether it be messy garden bouquets for your own kitchen table, or thoughtfully curated bridal bouquets for an upcoming wedding. We take pride in collaborating with our customers ensuring they walk away with the ideal blooms to bring their vision to life!
At West Valley Dahlias, we are passionate about flowers and their ability to bring joy and beauty into people's lives. Our love for shape, color and texture inspires us to experiment with Dahlia breeding. As a humble hybridizer, it brings personal joy to focus on creating new and unusual Dahlia varieties!
We take great care in the process of growing Dahlias to prevent the spread of pests and disease. We are very thorough in regard to clean and sterile garden tools and rely on well-maintained fields and an orderly greenhouse. Tubers are guaranteed to be healthy and disease free and all our seeds are stored properly to ensure the best germination rate.
As we prepare to expand to the north pasture, our original garden will be transformed to a dedicated test garden. This garden will not only consist of some of our favorite varieties but will also give us the opportunity to focus on breeding, proper soil amendment, a variance of composting methods, and the effects of different growing conditions, organic fertilizers and gardening techniques.
Meet Tanya!
I'm a lifelong lover of flowers, texture, color and shape!
I've always loved my time outside and over the years have had some pretty impressive urban backyard gardens. My personal collection of Hosta's has surpassed 150, and my ranunculus corms have gotten out of hand, I'm obsessed with anything viny, and we won't talk about my poppy collection....
But my true love is Dahlias!
In 2023, my husband and I purchased a 14-acre homestead nestled in the NW Pacific Coast Range. As you could imagine my garden quickly expanded giving my already impressive Dahlia collection room to substantially grow! Turns out, not only did I have the room, but the ideal growing conditions as well. Dahlias thrive in our coastal forest climate. Take the abundance of land, the perfect climate, my love for gardening, color and texture; and it's simple to see why West Valley Dahlias was born.
Welcome to West Valley Dahlias - currently a micro flower farm working on expansion one field at a time!
All dreams must start somewhere...... and mine is here! A small humble greenhouse where I spend many hours playing in the dirt.
